Gundersen Health System is looking for an RN to join the Pre Op/Recovery team! This opportunity will allow you a variety of patient care experiences, work-life balance and to work with a great team!

What you will do:

  • 0.65 fte; 52 hours every two weeks
  • Pre Op - Three 10-hour shifts per pay period, primarily 8:00am-6:30pm or 9:00am-7:30pm
  • Recovery Room - One 10-hour shift between the hours of 6:30am and 6:30pm, and One 12-hour shifts 8:30am-9:00pm
    • Hours may flex based on department need
  • Approximately (1) weeknight call shift every 6 weeks from 11pm - 7am. Approximately 3 weekend call shifts every 6 months
  • Weekend call hours include Friday 11pm - 7am, Saturday 7pm - 7am, or Sunday 7pm - 7am
  • Weeknight call is assigned; weekend call is self-scheduled. 1 hour response time for call shifts
  • 1 scheduled holiday per year
  • A fast-paceddepartment cares fora variety of surgical specialties varying in age from pediatric to geriatric
  • Pre-op primary responsibilities include assessing and preparing the patient for surgery, providing education, and preparing for discharge home
  • Recovery room/PACU primary responsibility is monitoring levels of consciousness, vitals, and treating post operative side effects such as pain or nausea.

What you will need:

  • RN license to work in the state of Wisconsin
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS for healthcare providers
  • Minimum 2 year RN experience
