Summary: Controls Engineer III is a senior-level technical contributor responsible for designing, developing, and delivering advanced control system solutions for FW Murphy's Special Projects team. This role leads the development of complex, custom PLC and HMI applications, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, technical support, and customers to deliver reliable, high-performance control solutions. As a subject matter expert, the Controls Engineer III independently owns project deliverables from concept through release, provides technical leadership on non-standard applications, and supports continuous improvement of control system architectures, tools, and standards. The role requires strong hands-on controls expertise, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to translate customer requirements into robust, scalable control solutions.
