Job Description

Job Summary:


Responsible for scheduling oversight for manufacturing, and all indirect work centers. Responsible for inventory accuracy through a cycle counting process, identification of constrained work centers and assisting in plans to alleviate the constraint, and assuring the daily flow into assembly meets requirements to achieve the ship plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Plan and analyze the requirements of the production department
  • Participate in daily production meetings to ensure on time delivery
  • Interface with leads, Supervisors, Managers relative to all matters within the scope of the job function.
  • Provide daily set-up plan to assembly
  • Establish processes for production planning activities to meet established production specifications and schedules, including volume, cost, and waste targets, while maintaining established quality standards
  • Liaise with different departments and communicating the needs of the Production Team to the appropriate managers
  • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing challenges
  • Lead an environment that supports continuous improvements (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream mapping and other tools of lean manufacturing)
  • Meet with employees regularly to discuss their performance, with formal written performance reviews completed at least annually

  • Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems is essential

Education and Experience:



  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or closely related field
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in production control
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role


Physical Requirements:



  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations' facilities.

Pay Range: $72k to $80k DOE
