The CCM Library was founded in1949, with the gift of the personal collection of Professor Albino Gorno, Dean of the Cincinnati College of Music for over 40 years. Today, the CCM Library collections focus on materials that support CCM-related areas of music, musical theatre, dance, music education, media production, and some aspects of theatre and drama, while the Langsam Library holds additional materials that support theatre and media productions. Located in the Blegen Library building, which was the main University Library from 1930 to 1978, the CCM Library offers its patrons over 90,000 scores and over 65,000 sound recordings, as well as access to numerous databases and streaming services. Two private institutions - the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (founded 1867) and the Cincinnati College of Music (founded 1878) - merged in 1955 to form the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. In 1962, CCM became the fourteenth college of the University of Cincinnati, then a municipal institution. The University became a state-affiliated institution in 1968 and a full state university in 1978. The University of Cincinnati Libraries (UCL) seeks a proactive, service-oriented Library Operations Supervisor for the Albino Gorno Memorial Library / College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Library. The incumbent supervises approximately ten student associates, oversees the primary service point, and maintains the library's stacks. Other responsibilities include assisting with various efforts such as event and program development, curating library exhibitions, drafting instructional and promotional materials, processing collections, managing budgets, and collecting assessment data. The incumbent may support class instruction, reference assistance, and research consultations for undergraduate and graduate students, staff, faculty, and visiting scholars. Essential Functions
