The Philanthropy Officer Senior cultivates relationships and solicits supporters of the organization to secure sizable donations for specific institutional priorities and campaigns, with a focus on planned gifts, while also implementing a Legacy Society recognition program. Working under limited supervision, this position generates financial support, promotes planned giving, and enhances donor engagement and strong relationships within the organization.

Essential Job Function

  • Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and nurtures annual giving donors through diverse channels such as direct mail, grateful patient programs, and community referrals to foster consistent support for Cone Health's initiatives.
  • Manages and strategically expands a prospect list, aiming to elevate annual gifts to the Cone Society and identify potential major gift prospects, thus contributing to the organization's financial sustainability.
  • Leads the coordination of the Cone Society recognition program, ensuring appropriate acknowledgment and engagement of donors who contribute to the organization's success.
  • Conducts in-person visits with prospects and donors, leveraging interpersonal skills to achieve and exceed annual fundraising targets and maintain meaningful relationships.
  • Collaborates on the development and implementation of impactful employee giving programs that contribute to improved patient care, fostering a culture of philanthropy within the organization while working closely with volunteers to enhance fundraising initiatives and events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree

Experience

  • Required: 5 Years of experience with 2 years as a direct supervisor
