About the Role

The HR Operations Capabilities Leader at Gore is responsible for driving operational excellence across the HR Operations function through the leadership of strategic capability-building initiatives. This role leads a team of five associates-including an HRIS Specialist, two HR Operations Specialists, and two Investigators-and oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, and service delivery models. In addition, the role provides leadership and mentorship across the broader HR organization, strengthening capabilities aligned with business priorities and fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

This position partners closely with global HR Business Partners and the Center Compliance team to develop and implement strategies that optimize HR operations, ensure regulatory and policy compliance, and enhance the overall Associate experience.

Note: This role may be based at our Phoenix or Flagstaff, Arizona facilities, with the potential for a hybrid work arrangement based on business needs

Responsibilities

HR Operations Leadership & Governance

  • Provide strategic leadership for HR Operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, HR strategy, and business priorities while partnering with Compliance, Legal, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to proactively manage risk and regulatory adherence
  • Establish and maintain HR governance processes, including participation and leadership in Medical governance forums (e.g., Investigations Governance, Waterline Severance, OneTrust)
  • Lead the design, implementation, and governance of scalable, globally consistent HR processes and policies (e.g., Transitions, ADA, PIP, Waterline Severance, Separation Protocols) to support organizational growth and workforce priorities

People Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop the HRIS Specialist, HR Operations Specialists, and Investigations team, fostering collaboration, continuous learning, and capability development
  • Oversee daily team operations, including coaching, performance management, and development aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead and support special projects and cross-functional initiatives, as assigned

HR Systems, Data & Transformation

  • Drive adoption, optimization, and governance of HR systems, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency, data integrity, and decision-making
  • Lead HR operations transformation initiatives and change management efforts to modernize processes and enhance the Associate experience
  • Establish, monitor, and act on HR Operations KPIs and metrics to assess functional health, identify improvement opportunities, and drive innovation

Associate Relations & Investigations

  • Oversee the management and resolution of Associate relations and investigations, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior HR leaders and HR Business Partners on associate relations strategy, operational capabilities, and system enhancements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred

  • 3 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on HR operations, compliance, and investigations

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing HR operations teams and direct reports

  • Strong knowledge of HR systems such as Workday and SAP SuccessFactors, with experience in process optimization

  • Proven experience leading associate investigations with a strong commitment to confidentiality, fairness, and consistency

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Experience operating within a global, matrixed organization strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated change leadership capability, leading through organizational transformation with resilience and adaptability
