The Research Care Administrative Specialist supports the Research Care Support team by providing comprehensive administrative, documentation, and patient support for clinical research operations. This role ensures smooth clinic flow, accurate and timely documentation, and high-quality patient and colleague support, adhering to all regulatory, ethical, and organization standards. The Research Care Administrative Specialist:

  • Owns all aspects of ECG management, including accurate labeling and secure handling of tracings and data, maintaining inventory of sponsor-provided equipment, troubleshooting and coordinating repairs, ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements for handling, storage, and data transfer, and maintaining complete accountability records.

  • Obtains, organizes, and maintains source documentation and medical records for clinical trials.

  • Escorts and assists patients throughout the clinic.

  • Communicates with patient regarding appointments, updates, and comfort needs.

  • Orders and maintains refreshments and comfort items for patients.

  • Maintains blanket warmers and ensure patient comfort supplies are stocked.

  • Keeps all refreshment areas properly stocked for patient comfort.

  • Assists other clinic colleagues in clinic when necessary.

  • Acts as liaison between patient and clinic colleagues.

  • Collaborates effectively with clinical staff, research colleagues, and other departments.

  • Retrieves and delivers medications from the pharmacy to the appropriate clinical team.

  • Orders and delivers meals for patients as required by protocols.

You should have for this position:

  • Working knowledge of clinical terminology.

  • Working knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision at offsite facilities.

  • High School Diploma required, Associate Degree preferred

  • Basic Life Support Certificate preferred
