Funding Assistant - Indirect Lending (OnSite) Company: A wellrespected Michigan credit union (Troy, MI) Pay Rate: $22/hr Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-4 PM (little to no overtime) Work Model: Fully OnSite About the Role A wellrespected Michigan credit union is looking for a Funding Assistant to support their indirect lending team. You'll work with auto and RV dealership loan files, ensuring documents are accurate, complete, and ready for funding. What You'll Do * Manage incoming email communication * Work heavily in Excel * Communicate with the underwriting and funding teams * Review and verify loan documents for accuracy and fraud prevention * Audit items like income verification, dealer paperwork, and loan applications * Enter loan data and documents into the Loan Application System * Prepare payoff quotes, payoff letters, and rate change agreements * Help manage payoff checks and daily loan pipeline reports * Handle ELT, UCC filings, and lien releases * Disburse funds to dealerships * Scan, sort, and enter documents into the system * Verify insurance, registration, and other required documentation * Keep communication clear between all parties What You Need * 2+ years lending experience (Auto/RV preferred; mortgage or home equity also works) * Strong attention to detail and urgency * Strong Excel skills * Basic understanding of lending or banking terms Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Troy, MI.
