About the Role A growing technology team is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support daytoday operational networking activities. This role is essential in maintaining a stable, secure, and highperforming network environment while allowing other team members to focus on major modernization initiatives. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting core network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and access points. This is a handson operational role with a strong emphasis on ticket resolution, maintenance, and network reliability. Top Skills * Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama (preferred). * Cisco Certified Support Technician (Networking) or higher (preferred). * Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and subnetting. 1.Experience with Panorama and Palo Alto firewalls is preferred. 2.Cisco Certified Support Technician (Networking) or higher is preferred. 3.Proven experience in providing technical support for networking equipment and technologies. 4.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, routing, switching, VLANs, and subnetting. 5.Familiarity with network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs). 6.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues. 7.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with end-users and colleagues. 8.Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1.Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. 2.Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, performance problems, and configuration errors. 3.Install, configure, and maintain networking devices and related software applications. 4.Collaborate with network engineers and other IT professionals to design, implement, and upgrade network infrastructure solutions. 5.Monitor network performance and security, identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities and threats. 6.Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference. 7.Assist in the planning and execution of network infrastructure projects, including hardware upgrades and technology migrations. 8.Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to Cisco networking products and solutions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sioux Falls, SD. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
