The Opportunity The Flight Simulation Technician provides technical expertise and team skills necessary to maintain the high-quality performance of Flight Simulation and Training Devices (FSTDs) fleet at the Daytona Beach campus. Performs support and problem resolution to ensure that ERAU FSTDs are in compliance with regulatory requirements and pilot training needs. Will participate in the acquisition, relocation, installation, operation, and management of Flight Simulation and Training Devices (FSTDs) and will assist with the maintenance of the Simulator-Quality Management System (S-QMS), as well as the recruitment, training, and supervision of part-time personnel. Provides scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to FSTDs and associated systems:
Performs testing and preventative maintenance on FSTDs:

Maintains and updates FSTD related hardware and software configurations:

QualificationsRequired Education and Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace systems Maintenance, Aircraft Engineering Technology, Information Technology, or Computer Science, recent flight experience, and a minimum of three years working with Flight Simulation and Training Devices. A minimum of two years of OEM TYPE SPECIFIC WORK EXPERIENCE in the technical support of FSTDs and an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Simulation Technology, Electronics Technology, or Information Technology from an accredited college or university, or related military training may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement.
