300 N. Elm Street, Suite 101 Denton, TX 76201 m1services.com Job Summary: M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic I - Wheel and Tire who will conduct daily aircraft wheel and tire operations. May be tasked to support Crash Recovery operations. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Assists with troubleshooting. * Reads and interprets manufacturers and aircraft's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. * Performs periodic and other hourly or calendar inspections as required. * Receives technical guidance from Managers, Supervisors, Leads or higher-level technicians as required. * May be required to aid writing/initiating engineering technical assistance requests. * May be required to obtain and maintain special certifications required by AFI as directed by management. * Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or equipment maintenance, enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make entries in forms, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required. * Strict adherence to aircraft technical data is required. * Complete all assignments and tasks as directed by managers, supervisors, leads, and more senior technicians Qualifications and Experience: * High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirable * Minimum of 4 years performing as a USAF or sister service fighter aircraft Crew Chief including 1 year Wheel and Tire experience. Working knowledge of MIS systems and forms documentation. * Must be able to obtain and maintain respirator qualification. * Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions in the same language. * Must be willing to deploy to support off-station requirements. * Performs housekeeping duties within 100 feet of assigned work areas (excluding bathrooms). If controlled movement area (CMA) access is required must be able to pass color vision test * May be required to work in other work sections throughout the contract. Working Conditions: * Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties. * Environment ranges from office, hangar and flightline and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
