Job Summary:

M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic III - Hydraulics who will conduct daily Hydraulic shop operations
including testing and overhaul of hydraulic components.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Troubleshoots, maintains, services, and inspects aircraft hydraulics systems, components, and
related support equipment.
* Removes, installs, and conducts functional tests of repaired aircraft systems and components.
* Required to adjust, align, and rig aircraft components.
* Inspects and identifies aircraft for corrosion prevention and repair.
* Reads and interprets manufacturers and aircraft's maintenance manuals, service bulletins,
technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of
repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
* Performs periodic and other hourly or calendar inspections as required.
* Receives technical guidance from managers, supervisors, and leads, and provides technical
guidance to lower-level technicians as required.
* Will be required to obtain and maintain special certifications required by AFI as directed by
management.
* Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or equipment maintenance,
enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make entries in forms, logs, records,
or electronic equivalent as required.
* Will be required to monitor and lead teams to perform more complex inspections and repairs.
* Will be required to write/initiate engineering technical assistance requests.
* Strict adherence to aircraft technical data is required.
* Complete all assignments and tasks as directed by managers, supervisors, and leads.
Qualifications and Experience:
* High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirable
* Minimum of 8 years performing hydraulic system repair on USAF or sister service fighter aircraft
including 3 years back shop hydraulic experience rebuilding strut components, brakes, valves,
actuators, and accumulators on one or more of the following: A-10, F-15, F-16, or F-22.
* Working knowledge of MIS systems and forms documentation.

* Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data and
special operating instructions in the same language.
* Must be willing to deploy to support off-station requirements.
* Performs housekeeping duties within 100 feet of assigned work areas (excluding bathrooms).
* Performs vehicle use inspections, cleaning, and wash.
* Performs any other supportive duties as assigned.
* Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher, if required).
* Must be able to, if required, obtain, and maintain a government driver's license. If controlled
movement area (CMA) access is required must be able to pass color vision test.
* May be required to work in other work sections throughout the contract

* Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.
* Environment ranges from office, hangar and flightline and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping,
bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
