UX/UI Dashboard Designer (Partner Operations)

This is a 3-week, part-time (20 hours/week), remote contract role located in United States.

Summary

The team is seeking a UX/UI designer to lead the assessment, refinement, and redesign of a monitoring dashboard that enables internal business operations stakeholders to track partner uptime, failures, and product experience in real-time across multiple geographies. This role will focus on creating scalable, intuitive, and implementable dashboard designs that support operational visibility and rapid issue triage.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design
  • Passion for data visualization and enterprise tooling with a strong foundation in dashboard design and information architecture
  • Proficient in modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite), with strong visual design and interaction design skills
  • Familiar with monitoring and analytics platforms (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Tableau, Looker) and designing within platform constraints
  • Skilled in collaborating with technical stakeholders including engineers, data teams, and operations partners
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple deliverables across a short engagement
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder feedback
  • Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience designing enterprise B2B or internal tools (preferred)

Job Description

In this role, you will assess an existing draft dashboard and lead the redesign of a monitoring experience that enables real-time visibility into partner performance and operational health.

You'll partner with internal business operations and technical stakeholders to define information architecture, hierarchy, and filtering logic across multiple partners and geographies. This includes reviewing the current state, identifying gaps, creating wireframes, producing high-fidelity mockups (3-5 views), building an interactive prototype, and delivering annotated design specifications for implementation.

You will also design scalable visualization patterns that clearly distinguish priority partners from long-tail partners, enable geographic drill-down from global to regional views, and ensure at-a-glance clarity with strong severity indicators-while working within the constraints of the selected monitoring platform.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Background in UX design, product design, interaction design, or data visualization

Experience designing monitoring, analytics, or operations dashboards preferred

Additional Requirements

This opportunity is remote and requires availability for scheduled stakeholder meetings and async collaboration within standard U.S. business hours

20 hours per week for approximately 3 weeks, beginning early March and ending late March, with potential extension

The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $77.90 - $90.51 per hour

This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements
