Our client is looking for a Visual Designer (Digital Learning) to join their team! This is a 40 hours/week, remote, 3-month long contract position based in the United States. Responsibilities:
Translate established learning concepts and written content into visually compelling, brand-aligned digital experiences that elevate clarity, engagement, and storytelling.
Design polished, cohesive course builds within Articulate Rise and Storyline, applying strong principles of layout, typography, hierarchy, color, and spacing.
Create and adapt visual systems, templates, and UI elements that ensure consistency across a suite of learning assets.
Format and refine supporting materials (Google Docs, Slides, and other assets) with a sharp design eye, ensuring visual continuity and professional finish.
Apply accessibility best practices and design standards (including WCAG considerations) to ensure inclusive, user-centered experiences.
Manage localization workflows by preparing and QA'ing translated files, ensuring visual integrity and formatting consistency across languages.
Partner closely with senior creative and learning stakeholders to interpret design direction, incorporate feedback quickly, and maintain visual excellence across deliverables.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience as a Visual Designer, Digital Designer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing layout-driven, system-based design work.
Demonstrated experience designing within web-based platforms or digital publishing environments; familiarity with Articulate Rise and Storyline is required, but deep instructional design expertise is not.
Strong command of visual fundamentals including typography, composition, spacing, color systems, and brand application.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple assets, iterate quickly, and maintain design consistency across high-volume deliverables.
The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $140.00-$150.00 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
