Overview

To reproduce high volume, priority copies on a deadline basis for Navy Federal President, Board of Directors and entire Navy Federal staff. To maintain multiple copy center copiers/duplicators in working order.

Responsibilities

  • Reproduces and delivers high volume scheduled and on demand projects to include, but not limited to, Board of Directors Meeting Reports, Personnel directories, and manuals to meet priority deadlines.
    • Receives artwork and document files via various software programs/applications and occasionally hardcopies; and prioritizes projects
    • Based on costs, determines where the project should be completed
    • Manipulates files using software programs (i.e. Doc Works and Fiery) to place in correct document type and format
    • Merges color copies or tabs into text copies using special equipment functions
    • Sends edited documents to appropriate printer for duplication selecting the most appropriate material sand processing equipment
    • Performs binding jobs as needed
    • Completes quality inspection of work in process; identifies errors and problems and takes corrective action
  • Maintains copy center copier/duplicator equipment.
    • Diagnoses and trouble shoot equipment problems; completes minor repairs if appropriate
    • Places service calls and schedules equipment repair and maintenance
    • Inventories and orders essential materials and supplies to ensure that they are readily available for production and equipment maintenance
    • Logs and reports meter readings monthly
    • Maintains daily job logs of production, expense and other calculations
  • Provides support for other Print Operations projects.
    • Independently operates one or more types of bindery equipment to cut/trim, fold, collate, drill, and bind a variety of printed paper sizes and weights
    • Operates materials handling equipment and other non-bindery equipment needed for supporting tasks within Print Operations
  • Performs other related duties as required or appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of printing related bindery functions
  • Ability to interpret printing specifications and implement verbal directions
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and set priorities
  • Ability to exercise judgment and initiative, and make sound decisions
  • Experience using a copy machine with a re-circulating document feeder and collating functions
  • Experience that demonstrates skill in operating, trouble shooting and maintaining a high speed electrostatic, digital printer-copier, reprographic and imaging technology
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills including familiarity with PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and associated programs

Desired Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Ability to use various grades and weights of paper during the reproduction process

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:00PM
