  • Observes and enforces safety regulations; collaborates with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Supports continuous improvement by assisting in developing work instructions, suggesting process enhancements, and mentoring junior team members.
  • Maintains proficiency with Shop PQRs (3G/6G carbon/stainless at present, will increase with Shop capabilities)

Qualifications Required:

  • Must demonstrate the ability to pass 6G weld certification, either carbon or stainless
  • Possess a working understanding of all pertinent ASMF, NBIC, ASTM, and AWS codes and specifications
  • Proficient utilizing weld procedures (including weld maps, WPS requirements, and ISO's as necessary) for work orders to be executed by the Weld Shop as provided by Mechanical Integrity, QA, and Engineering
  • Demonstrates proficiency operating and the safe use of industrial fabrication shop equipment (including, but not limited to light machining, brakes, ironworkers, pipe-beveling equipment, and others as required)
  • Proficient in principals and execution of rigging (critical/large lifts) inside C316
  • Knowledge of shop safety protocols and mechanical integrity inspection practices to ensure welds and fabricated components meet code and operational requirements.
