Description

The HR Technology Specialist is a human resources specialist position and is primarily responsible for administration, reporting and configuration of all Atlantic Union's HR information systems including UKG, Kronos WorkForce Ready and Cornerstone OnDemand Talent Management. This position is responsible for HR related reporting and metrics. Work is varied in nature with changing priorities. Incumbent applies working knowledge of Information Systems to work performed. Works under general supervision and in compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations.

Position Accountabilities



  • HR Reporting Metrics

    • Identify HR reporting requirements from across the organization.
    • Create scheduled and ad hoc HR reports from all HR systems that meet the identified reporting requirements.
    • Develop and maintain all compliance related HR reporting.


  • Ensure data quality in all HR systems

    • Conduct ongoing audit of the data in all HR systems to ensure data quality.


  • Provide production support for all HR systems

    • Identify and resolve production errors and issues in all HRIS platforms.
    • Determine and communicate the root cause of production issues and implement steps to reduce the chance the issue will reoccur.


  • Answering HRIS questions from internal clients
  • Provide HR system administration including:

    • Create, maintain and audit all HR system configuration including HR codes, jobs, fields, and data tables.


  • Administer security access to all HR systems

    • Troubleshoot Single Sign On issues to HR systems.
    • Update security for users including adding and removing security roles.
    • Maintain security roles in all HR systems based on overall HRIS security design.
    • Develop responses to audit requests from both internal audit groups and external audit agencies regarding HR system security.


  • Participate as an HRIS subject matter expert for HRIS projects and enhancements.
  • Create and maintain process documentation.
  • Develop and execute employee and manager training on new software modules and conduct both online courses and in person training as needed.

This position reports to the Head of HR Systems and Delivery

Position Qualifications

Education & Experience



  • Undergraduate degree in Information Systems or related experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience working as a specialist or analyst with HR information systems.


Knowledge & Skills



  • Prior experience with UKG, Kronos WorkForce Ready and/or Cornerstone OnDemand is required.
  • Prior HR reporting experience is a must. Prefer experience with Cognos Business Intelligence v.11.
  • Experience working in multiple HR systems such as Workday SAP, Oracle, and UKG preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
  • Strong customer orientation and service skills.
  • Strong planning organization skills, attention to detail and follow through.
  • Established problem analysis and problem resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment.
  • Ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action.


Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
