About the Hiring Group

The Senior U.S. Leave Administrator and ADA Specialist contributes to the organization by overseeing advanced case management, policy development, compliance reviews, cross-functional collaboration, and team mentorship, ensuring seamless adherence to leave and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance, shaping policies, and fostering continuous improvement, impacting the organization's compliance, efficiency, and support for employees.


What You'll Do

  • Case Management and Expert Guidance: Manage advanced leave and ADA cases, serving as a subject matter expert for the team. This includes conducting comprehensive case assessments, collaborating with relevant parties, and ensuring adherence to legal and organizational guidelines.
  • Policy Development and Compliance Oversight: Collaborate on policy development and ensure compliance with evolving leave and ADA regulations. Regularly review policies to align them with current legal requirements and best practices, partnering with junior team members on implementation.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration and Research: Collaborate closely with Human Resources (HR), legal, and other cross functional teams to ensure consistent case management and policy adherence. Conduct thorough research on emerging trends and best practices in leave and ADA administration, presenting findings to inform decision-making.
  • Compliance Reviews: Collaborate with senior team members during external audits and regulatory compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, meticulous documentation, effective communication with auditors, and participation in post-audit improvements.
  • Team Mentorship and Development: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to enhance their understanding of leave and ADA administration. Develop and implement process improvements to streamline workflows, increasing efficiency and compliance.
  • Market Awareness and Continuous Learning: Uphold a commitment to continuous learning by staying updated on evolving leave and ADA regulations and industry trends. Actively participate in relevant training and education to maintain and enhance expertise in leave administration and ADA compliance. Maintain market awareness by monitoring changes in federal, state, and local leave regulations and their potential impact on the organization.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (such as Human REsources, Business Administration, or a related discipline) and 5 years of experience, Master's degree and 3 years of experience or PhD and 0 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced degree or certification a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local leave and ADA regulations.
  • Multi-state compliance experience.
  • Strong thought leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Proven experience in policy development and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Change management experience.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, HR information system (HRIS), and other relevant software applications.

Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States.
