The Operations Manager will manage a Team of Associate Project Managers who support dynamic, fast-paced commercial real estate projects. They will work closely with the regional teams, vendors and finance to support project execution and ensure deliverables are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

LEADERSHIP

  • Ability to lead and manage a diverse virtual team.

  • Demonstrate the ability to create a solutions-oriented environment whereby the team is consistently seeking to identify leading edge project management practices focused on delivering value to the client.

  • Serve as liaison between the client, finance, vendors and regional teams.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with client and key stakeholders.

  • Proactively identifies, reports, and solutions project and program risks.

  • Ensure your team is driving and supporting all new and existing programs initiated nationally.

  • Create an environment where direct reports are engaged, understand and are committed to both corporate and client goals.

  • Drive success with annual capital goals.

  • Track, monitor and support collection of tenant improvement allowances.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Responsible for end to end employee management including: hiring, onboarding, leading, developing, and mentoring team members.

  • Manage 6-10 team members.

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and talent practices such as mid-year and year end reviews.

  • Work to establish career development plans, conduct regular one-on-one coaching meetings and lead weekly or bi-weekly team meetings.

  • Ensure accurate data is provided to support resource models and align associate project manager skill sets with work assignments and balance project workload within team.

  • Diversify and develop workforce by ensuring a diverse slate of candidates are considered for all open positions, retaining top talent and actively participate in a mentoring relationship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support data accuracy for assigned Programs and manage reporting.

  • Ability to review data and analysis information to take action.

  • Assist in training and developing employees in the skills and understanding of account procedures, methodology, and practices expected for a successful project implementation.

  • Ensure staff meets the established timelines & requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Partner with Execution Leads, Client and Program Leads to complete deliverables for Programs.

  • Drive new processes and changes from the PMO (Project Management Office) or Client and cascade to Team. These include Process Development, Improvement, Best Practices and Documentation.

  • Look for opportunities to streamline processes and import Best Practices.

  • Attend Program and Platform Calls and share outcome with Team.

  • Escalation point for Execution Team Lead, Program Leads, and Client on operational support / issues.

  • Support data accuracy for assigned Programs and manage reporting.

  • Ensure project closeouts and invoices are completed within established Client SLA for assigned Programs.

Education & Experience

  • Five years of documented, progressive experience in project or operations management with knowledge around construction.

  • Extensive experience in a client-focused, results/metrics-driven organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills via 1:1 and group interactions/routines, PowerPoint presentations and email.

  • Must have experience leading high-performing teams both in local offices and remote locations.
