The Associate Director of Lead Annual Giving at Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation (Foundation) is responsible for qualifying, soliciting, stewarding and upgrading donors making gifts between $1K-$9,999 and identifying and referring major gift prospects for the Philanthropy Directors to strengthen our donor pipeline and support increased giving. Additionally, the Associate Director of Lead Annual Giving will serve as the primary relationship manager for donors who are giving/fundraising through crowdfunding pages as well as team member giving campaigns. This position will partner closely with business leaders in Marketing, Donor Relations, Prospect Development, and Family Giving to implement strategies for growing the Foundation's annual giving program. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Philanthropy in the Foundation.

Duties & Responsibilities :
Provide leadership, and management for the Lead Annual Giving program in partnership with marketing, donor relations, and prospect development and actively to advance pipeline development and achieve Foundation-wide goals.
Partner with the Sr. Director of Individual Giving and other business unit leaders to develop program plans and strategies for increasing the number of annual giving donors ($1K-$9,999) and making referrals to the Individual and Planned Giving business units.
Support Sr. Director of Individual Giving in reporting monthly projections
Proactively pursue collaboration and alignment with other business unit leaders to drive revenue growth.
Qualify, cultivate, and steward lead annual donors ($1,000-$9,999) in partnership with marketing and donor relations.
Identifying referrals for major and planned gifts
Follow up on leads provided by Prospect Development to further identify donors for qualification and portfolio assignment in Individual Giving or Planned Giving team member portfolios.
Partner closely with Family Giving to communicate with grateful families referred from hospital partners.
Maintain complete and accurate donor records in CRM.
Solicit and steward donors making gifts between $1,000-$9,999 for renewals and upgrades
Serve as primary Foundation contact for lead annual giving donors and prospects.
Actively engage with lead annual giving donors and prospects to upgrade, renew, and steward their annual gifts.
Maintain complete and accurate donor records in CRM.
Manage Lead Annual Giving (LAG) Program
Build a Lead Annual Giving program that includes providing strategic direction, feedback, and motivation that builds the LAG donor pipeline and identify referrals for major gifts and planned giving teams.
Hold direct reports accountable for performance and timely use of CRM
Communicate Foundation objectives and new information regularly with direct reports so they are informed of the latest strategies and hospital opportunities and have alignment with leadership.
Manage crowdfunding pages and team member giving campaigns
Work with donors and patient ambassador families to set up, monitor and report on crowdfunding pages.
Work with Family Giving and Hospital Partnerships on the creation of crowdfunding pages.
Manage enrollment in giving programs.
Partner with Marketing on team giving program.
Host check presentations and hospital tours for crowdfunding donors and other annual donors.
Minimum Qualifications:
Degrees- Undergraduate (BA/BS) degree required. No equivalency.
Experience- A minimum of six years of working in a direct fundraising environment with demonstrated experience leading a fundraising program including annual giving and/or individual giving with a track record in building pipeline and growing donor participation. An ability to lead and motivate team members.
The Associate Director of Lead Annual Giving will apply the following skills and abilities to this job:
* Effective written and spoken communication skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally with leaders (e.g., individual gifts, donor relations, planned giving, marketing, events, finance and prospect development)
* Experience with designing and executing programs that support donor acquisition, renewal, upgrades, and referrals
* Experience with managing a personal portfolio of donors, including donor qualifications
* Soid knowledge of moves management and donor pipeline development
* Familiarity of basic fundraising metrics, including retention, upgrade, and ROI
* Understanding the donor strategy and segmentation tailor outreach by capacity, affinity and engagement
* Experience with tracking and forecasting fundraising performance and comfortable working with finance and CRM reporting
* Familiarity with the philanthropic community in Colorado and surrounding regions
* Ability to use Microsoft Office, database tools and systems, and willingness to learn and apply technology to work with ease and confidence
* Supervisory and management skills with adaptability to work in high-paced team environment
* Ability to work with diverse scope of donors, board members, and team members
* Openness to a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and apply skill in a dynamic and changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
* CRM Blackbaud experience is strongly desired
* Experience working in a mission-driven environment, pediatric healthcare fundraising is preferred
Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $90,000.00 to $126,000.00
