Position: On Site Technical Support Analyst

Primary Location: East Coast of USA, Frequent Travel required

Reports To: IT Manager

Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000 + bonus + benefits

The range shown reflects the targeted pay scale. Actual pay within the range depends on work location and factors such as skills, experience, and education. Specific salary details can be discussed during the hiring process. Posted compensation reflects base salary only and excludes bonuses, benefits, pension contributions, and other incentives.

About This Role and About You

The Site Technical Support Analyst provides on-site and timely end-user computing support-including software, hardware, and network assistance-to all US Chemtrade locations. This position requires regular travel to support local business units, assist with the coordination of IT infrastructure projects, and address site-level issues related to end users, Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Wi-Fi, and firewalls.

PLEASE NOT THIS POSITION REQUIRED FREQUENT TRAVEL WITHIN THE USA. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE YOU TO TRAVEL OVER 200+ DAYS A YEAR.

Qualifications

    Diploma in Information Technology field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience and/or relevant designation required
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant technical support experience required
  • Solid knowledge of Cisco routing and switching (CCNA desired).
  • Experience with Aruba wireless solutions and Fortinet firewalls.
  • Prior IT support experience (desktop, systems, or infrastructure) is highly desired.
  • Comfortable performing hands-on manual tasks during site visits.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Understanding of standard IT infrastructure components: racks, UPS, patch panels, cabling (Cat6/ fiber)
  • Knowledge of ITSM ticketing systems

Responsibilities

  • Travel frequently (up to 70%) to company sites across the U.S.
  • Support network implementations, including installing and configuring Cisco, Aruba, and Fortinet equipment.
  • Assist with on-site tasks such as cabling, equipment racking, and basic hardware setup when required.
  • Provide on-site end-user support for all US Chemtrade facilities, ensuring timely resolution of software, hardware, and network issues
  • Provide troubleshooting and resolution for LAN/WAN/WLAN and firewall issues.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure reliability and security.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on projects, migrations, and upgrades.
  • Offer IT support assistance where needed, ensuring smooth onsite operations.
  • Ability to lift and install IT equipment (switches, desktops, monitors, etc.)
  • Assist with the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including switches, APs, racks, UPS units, cabling, and other hardware
  • Coordinate and support the rollout of corporate IT initiatives and projects

  • Assist and take on special projects or activities
  • Support Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and initiatives
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned

Provide off business hour's attention as may be required
