At Telecare's Gateway to Recovery, we don't just track data; we track progress, hope, and human potential. As our Medical Records Technician, you are the backbone of our clinical operations. By ensuring our Electronic Health Records (EHR) are precise, you are ensuring that the members we serve through the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model receive the seamless, high-quality care they deserve.

What a Typical Week Looks Like




  • Guardian of Accuracy: You'll coordinate all Caminar and Avatar EHR tasks, ensuring that demographics, diagnoses, and service codes are captured with 100% precision.



  • Insight Driver: You'll analyze outcomes data to help our program leaders improve how we serve our members.



  • Compliance Expert: You'll navigate the complexities of HIPAA, PHI, and state regulations to keep our program-and our members-safe and compliant.



  • Collaborator: You'll act as the bridge between our clinical staff and the payers, ensuring our mission is properly documented and sustainable.




Schedule: Full-Time | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Monday - Friday

Expected starting wage range is $23 - $28/hr. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have):



  • One (1) year of database experience
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and payer representatives
  • One (1) year of EHR or healthcare information system experience in a psychiatric inpatient program, mental health outpatient program or acute hospital setting
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations, survey processes, accreditation standards, and psychiatric requirements
  • Knowledge and application of appropriate coding systems; ICD-10 CM, DSM IV
  • Knowledge of documentation and legal issues pertaining to HIPAA, PHI and other health information
