This summer, we're excited to continue our 10-week Summer Internship Program-an opportunity for motivated college juniors, seniors, and graduates to gain hands-on experience in the financial industry. Full Time (40 hours/week) attendance will be required, on site in Newport News, VA, from Monday June 1 - Friday August 7.

Internship Overview

The SUMMER INTERN Salesforce Developer will support the design, development, and delivery of Salesforce solutions. This role provides hands-on experience with Salesforce development, configuration, and data-driven capabilities while working under the guidance of senior Salesforce Developers.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:



  • End-to-end ownership of Salesforce Agent force Next Best Actions aligned to business and engagement objectives.
  • Perform EDA, feature engineering, and predictive model selection within Salesforce Next Best Actions.
  • Configure, test, and validate AI-driven engagement recommendations for members, borrowers, spenders, and savers. driven engagement recommendations for members, borrowers, spenders, and savers
  • Develop documentation, performance metrics, and dashboards related to Next Best Actions.
  • Present solution outcomes and insights to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in requirements of analysis, development, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, administrators, and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a final project demo or presentation for a functional Salesforce Agent force / Next Best Action solution.


    Qualifications



    • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
    • Basic programming knowledge and understanding of object-oriented concepts.
    • Foundational knowledge of data modeling and analysis.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and learn new technologies quickly.
    • Experience with Salesforce, CRM platforms, or cloud-based applications preferred.
    • Exposure to AI/machine learning concepts and model evaluation techniques preferred.
    • Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes preferred.
    • Familiarity with Apex, Python, Java, C#, or similar languages preferred.
    • Exposure to SQL and APIs preferred.
    • Salesforce Trailhead coursework or certification are preferred.
