We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the Core Authentication team in Entra ID whowill play a pivotal role in shaping services that power authentications for millions of organizations running business-critical workloads, issuing hundreds of billions of tokens daily. You'll experience what it takes to run a highly distributed, scalable service with an SLA of over four nines availability. In this role, you will lead from the front in driving an AI-first culture, leveraging AI technologies to improve engineering efficiency, accelerate innovation, and deliver smarter solutions. You will also contribute to building a secure platform for AI agent authentication, enabling the next generation of trusted AI experiences across Microsoft and beyond. Our team is at the center of enabling critical security capabilities such as conditional access, continuous access evaluation, token binding, credential-free authentication via managed service identities for workload identities-all core priorities under Microsoft's Secure Future Initiative. You'll work on industry-leading redundancy strategies to achieve availability goals and help shape the future of identity security. Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
