Owens Corning's Global Information Services (GIS) provides a technology platform that supports the company's growing global business needs. The Sr. Infrastructure Engineer - M365 Platform and Messaging is a key member of the Global Infrastructure & Operations (GIO) organization and is responsible for leading the Microsoft 365 capability and associated platform technologies. This role will focus on partnering across GIS, GIO, and with our operations partner to drive business value through execution and problem-solving. The Sr. Infrastructure Engineer - M365 Platform and Messaging is responsible for platform lifecycle management, maintaining system integrity, and leading improvements for Microsoft 365 and Messaging platforms. Key duties include managing M365 license strategy, overseeing hybrid Exchange setups, and owning Teams platform operations. Knowing Our Businesses and their Strategies
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Owens Corning specific business processes and operations locally and globally
- Build relationships within the organization, cross-functionally, and with key business stakeholders; continuously enhance connection to remain aligned with core objectives
- Understand how IT infrastructure and services are directly aligned with the company's strategic objectives by regularly engaging with vendors and key business stakeholders focused on distributed, enterprise, and cloud technologies and solutions
- Additional understanding of global business objectives through engagement with leaders and stakeholders
Executing Strategy Platform Health & Lifecycle Management
- Assist in monitoring and assessing the health, capacity, and performance of Digital Workplace platforms, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization and mitigating risks
- Provide technical guidance throughout the lifecycle of Digital Workplace platforms - including patching, upgrades, and refresh strategies for the region
- Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to design and implement enhancements that significantly improve reliability, efficiency, and supportability of Digital Workplace platforms
Engineering & Optimization
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, templates, and automation patterns for Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Teams to ensure consistent, secure, and scalable platform configuration.
- Lead backend configuration and optimization of Microsoft 365 services-including user identity, licensing models, messaging systems, Teams governance, and platform integrations-to maximize reliability and alignment with enterprise infrastructure needs.
- Evaluate new platform capabilities, features, and tools within M365, messaging, and Teams; recommend adoption strategies to improve service performance, simplify management, and enhance enduser experience.
- Drive engineering-focused problem solving by performing deepdive analysis of platform issues, conducting root cause evaluations, and developing longterm remediation and prevention strategies while leveraging partner resources for operational tasks.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities across user lifecycle management, messaging operations, platform configuration, and governance workflows to reduce manual effort and strengthen control posture.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and operations teams to design and implement enhancements that improve the resiliency, security, and supportability of Microsoft 365 and messaging platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and compliance requirements.
Project & Initiative Support
- Act as a technical lead and subject matter expert for infrastructure-related projects and initiatives within the region
- Ensure new applications and services are onboarded efficiently and that Digital Workplace platforms are fully aligned with evolving business needs
- Participate actively in capacity planning and infrastructure design reviews
Collaboration & Influence
- Work in close partnership with infrastructure operations, security, and application teams to ensure cohesive and reliable platform management
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of platform configurations, standards, and engineering decisions for the region
- Contribute meaningfully to governance processes by reviewing proposed changes, assessing risks, and ensuring ongoing compliance with enterprise policies and standards
- Build and foster a strong partnership with global leaders and stakeholders

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in Windows and endpoint architecture, with a focus on enterprise-scale environments
- Proven track record of providing technical consultation and collaboration
- Understanding of Windows, endpoint management platforms, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams and related platforms and services
- Proven ability to partner globally and build relationships with leaders and stakeholders across a region
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for infrastructure management (e.g., Ansible)
- Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and its efficient usage in infrastructure environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
- Effective communication and collaboration across technical and business teams
- Ability to manage priorities and contribute to multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment
- Experience working and managing relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to drive positive outcomes
- Experience interacting at multiple levels of an organization with a specific focus on delivering results and strong communication skills
- Experienced with IT policies and procedures, methodologies, technology standards, protocols, roadmaps, services, and operations
- Demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter with a sense of curiosity and desire to continuously learn and grow
- Ability to collaborate and demonstrate a team-oriented partnership with a focus on delivering results
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally as required (10-20%)
