Reporting to the Director of Finance - Architectural Specialties, the Finance Manager is accountable for all financial and accounting activities. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with corporate policies. The position partners with plant leadership to support operational performance through budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, delivering timely insights that drive cost discipline, inventory accuracy, capital effectiveness, and sustained financial results.

What You'll Do

Financial Close, Forecasting, and Reporting

  • Leads monthend close and recurring financial cycles, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and results analysis.
  • Leads monthly, quarterly, and longrange forecasting processes.
  • Develops and manages the annual budget, including revenue projections, standard costs, manufacturing expenses, and SG&A.
  • Produces and maintains standardized financial reporting related to production and sales performance.
  • Provides financial analysis and support to business leadership, Internal Audit, and external auditors.

Transactional Finance Operations

  • Oversees Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Manages endtoend biweekly payroll processing for fewer than 50 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor regulations.

Business Partnership and Continuous Improvement

  • Partners with operations and leadership to drive informed decisionmaking and financial outcomes.
  • Supports a Lean culture through participation in Gemba walks, Kaizen events, and value stream mapping, as needed.
  • Identifies and leads process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.

Financial Controls and Compliance

  • Implements and ensures compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and internal control standards.
  • Maintains inventory controls, including cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
  • Ensures capital projects comply with corporate policies and deliver appropriate financial returns.
  • Performs ad hoc financial analyses to provide insight and support projections of future performance.

  • Strong ability to analyze and forecast revenue, operational costs, inventory, and SG&A expenses.
  • Proven financial analysis skills, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance reporting.
  • Working knowledge of internal controls, financial policies, and compliance requirements in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to develop clear, accurate financial models and reports.
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet recurring deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Capable of delivering accurate, highquality work in a timely, consistent, and professional manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills, with the ability to interact effectively and respectfully with all levels of plant and corporate personnel.
  • Customerfocused mindset with a collaborative approach to partnering with operations and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
  • Progressive experience in plant, manufacturing, or operations finance, with responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience linking operational and production metrics to financial performance and business outcomes.
  • Experience using SAP preferred.
