This role is an overnight position, 7 pm - 530am, on-site in Millington, Maryland. What you will experience in this position:
Set up and run brake press and punch press machinery, including choosing tooling and adjusting programs. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and job routings to determine machine settings and production requirements. Perform trial runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and part consistency. Conduct in-process inspections, verifying parts meet tolerances and quality standards. Follow safety protocols, maintain clean work areas, and perform minor maintenance. Meet daily production targets for accuracy, speed, and quality while minimizing waste.
You have:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education is a plus. 1-3 years of experience working with brake press or punch press machinery in a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop math. Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and angle gauges. Good mechanical competence and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Experience with CNC/programmed brake press equipment preferred. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or 5S is advantageous. Basic computer skills for entering production or quality data.

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $17.20 - $31.90 Per Hour
