Overview
Waters Corporation is seeking to hire an HSE Manager at the Waters Golden, CO facility. This role is responsible for driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing environmental programs, and supporting leading safety and operations' priorities across laboratory, manufacturing, and office environments. This role integrates HSE oversight with key Facilities responsibilities including permitting, hazardous waste management, emergency systems, contractor oversight, sustainability, building performance, and regulatory compliance. This is an onsite role with regular 40 hours, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Responsibilities
- Maintain OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, CDPHE, and local regulatory compliance.
- Manage site HSE programs such as but not limited to leading safety committees and participate in other safety and operations meetings and presentations, SOPs, and training.
- Manage the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification audits and participate in additional external audits as necessary. The HSE Manager will lead all aspects of compliance audits, internal HSE audit and act as the lead for ISO 14001/ ISO 45001 audits.
- Oversee hazardous waste handling, disposal scheduling, waste profiling, chemical management, and SQG compliance.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action tracking.
- Lead emergency preparedness activities, fire drills, and MERT program setup.
- Manage safety data, training records, and documentation.
- HSE Manager is responsible for sustainability data collection and entry into portal.
- Facilities & Operations Support
- Support fire safety systems (extinguishers, sprinklers, suppression systems and other building systems including building security systems).
- Lead and manage facility inspections (stormwater, backflow, roof, pest control).
- Support consumables, cylinder gases, dry ice, Stericycle, SDS management, and lab support workflows.
- Manage site contractor and vendor oversight, vendor assurance, and PO processes such as capital project management.
- Support work order review, PM/CM tracking, and building master drawings.
- Emergency Preparedness & Response
- Maintain AED/first-aid stations and monthly inspections.
- Support emergency communication systems and alarm response.
- Assist with Business Continuity planning.
- Data, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
- Manage HSE data and KPIs through company data management platforms.
- Lead ISO audits, customer audits, and corporate HSE initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 7-10 years of HSE experience in lab, manufacturing, or industrial settings with facility management experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Colorado state/local regulations.
- Experience with hazardous waste and chemical handling.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience with leading and participation in audits.
Preferred:
- Experience with Maximo, Intelex, and BAS systems.
- ISO 14001/45001 audit prior experience
- Professional certifications (CSP, ASP, CHMM).
