Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Driver in Lahaina, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a premier residential community, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to resident questions and concerns with outstanding customer service. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity as you support the team and build positive relationships on site.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter routes; conditions may vary by location and time of day.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, noise complaints, and suspicious activity.
  • Control access as directed by post orders by monitoring entrances, verifying resident and/or visitor authorization, and assisting with visitor check-in and/or directing traffic flow as needed.
  • Document security-related activities, patrol observations, and incidents in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate timely updates to site management and/or local responders when required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
