Security Officer - Act 235 Unarmed Driver

As a Security Officer - Act 235 Unarmed Driver in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and unusual activity with calm professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, and you will carry out armed duties in alignment with site requirements while delivering clear communication and customer service grounded in integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, lobbies, parking areas and perimeter checkpoints; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access control and observe for unusual activity, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations; report concerns through established communication channels.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and participate in required briefings and/or training related to armed post duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Act 235 qualification is required in Pennsylvania only.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
