Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol Full-Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and partner with site teams to keep operations running smoothly. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site employees, visitors, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; note unusual conditions and report concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts when appropriate and coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public emergency services.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, checking credentials when required, directing visitors to proper destinations, and documenting deliveries and/or service vendor activity per site procedures.
  • Complete required reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation; communicate key updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
