As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disorderly persons, disputes, suspicious activity, and lost and found, while coordinating with onsite leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directions and wayfinding, and help support visitor management procedures such as sign-in and badge distribution per site policy.
  • Complete timely reports and logs, document security-related incidents and observations, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnovers using approved systems and protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Work in a hospital environment involving vaccines.
  • Work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
