Summary:

Intern Dates: May 18, 2026 - August 7, 2026

A meaningful educational experience for a college student to gain valuable experience in their field of study; while accomplishing tasks and completing projects in an enriching environment. The Intern will gain networking opportunities that include interactions with CHRISTUS leaders and Associates. The Intern will be provided with a variety of projects to support learning objectives in Physician Practice Operations. The intern will help support a variety of projects across specialty clinics within the Heart and Vascular, Oncology, Orthopedic, and Neuroscience Institutes. Exposure to all areas of business operations, including, finance, human resources, organizational development, marketing, strategic planning, community relations, and onboarding.

Responsibilities:


  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Participate in customer and internal project calls
  • Work with operations leaders in large scale project activities
  • Manage own projects as assigned by department leadership team, with responsibility for meeting deadlines. Such projects may require data analysis and multi-organization coordination.
  • Performs computer-based correspondence, documents, charts and reports. Develops report formats, charts and presentations. Uses and maintains database systems.
  • Assist with Onboarding new Doctors and Staff
  • Work in conjunction with Practice Leadership
  • Uses oral and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas in a clear, positive manner that is consistent with the CHRISTUS Mission.
  • Supports and adheres to CHRISTUS Standards of Behavior.
  • Performs other related work as required.

Requirements:

Experience:


  • At lease 2 years of college preparation towards major.

Education:


  • Currently enrolled in a College degree program in one of the following degree program; Business Administration/Management, Communication, Health Administration, Operations Management,
  • PC and Microsoft Office Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with others.
  • Quick learner with attention to detail, high degree of confidentiality and solid organizational skills.
  • Needs to be resourceful, innovative and persuasive with ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.

Work Schedule:

8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday
