The impact you'll make

Be a part of the exciting SABRE process development and engineering team, where you'll contribute to the advancement and innovation of wafer fab equipment (WFE) electrodeposition processes and technology. Our mission is to push the boundaries in the field by developing next-generation solutions that optimize reactor and equipment performance, address complex challenges in semiconductor manufacturing, and drive ongoing improvements in process efficiency and reliability. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on pioneering projects, collaborate with talented professionals, and help shape the future of electrodeposition technology in the semiconductor industry.

What you'll do
  • Contribute to engineering projects by applying electrodeposition techniques to develop new features on the Lam SABRE system, aiming to enhance reactor and equipment performance.
  • Assist with testing and characterizing new or modified process formulations for product development and technology improvement.
  • Set up and run bench-scale experiments, operate application lab deposition development tools, and perform chemistry and material analysis.
  • Utilize metrology tools to measure and analyze wafer deposition performance.
  • Support research and development activities, including compiling and organizing data and conducting scientific journal research.

Preferred qualifications
  • Pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or Material Science
  • Available to intern for 6-months from May/June to November/December
  • Hands on experience working in wet laboratory
  • Have experience working on troubleshooting complex equipment and systems
  • Knowledge in electrochemistry is a plus

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
