Astrion has an exciting opportunity fora Models and Simulations Engineer located at theEglin AFB inFlorida. This 96 Test Wing contract position supports the Air Force Division. We are seeking an engineer for our operational test campaign to support next generation weapons development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • *Active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret*
  • 3 years' experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), simulation design, weapon system development, operational testing, and evaluation.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in systems engineering, or related field.
  • Motivated self-starter that can operate independently without supervision by leveraging user manuals, instructions, or other provided documentation to accomplish tasks.
  • Strong software coding skills in C, C++, Python, and MATLAB; ability to learn FORTRAN.
  • Familiar with pre- and post-mission data analysis to identify issues in simulation inputs, raw test data, or object under test performance.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods. Will learn to design and execute Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Will become an expert in simulation-based acquisition efforts.
  • Will develop the ability to understand Operational Test (OT) community requests, translate those requests into a simulation, analyze and understand the resulting test data, and translate actionable results back to the OT community.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become a fully-integrated member of the models and simulations team providing regular and meaningful impact to OT community objectives.
