Barrett Paving Materials Inc., NYN Region a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, are seeking experienced Class A Loyboy Driver to safely load and unload, transport and move our Heavy equipment from project to project. This is a seasonal, fulltime opportunity running primarily from April through October. Drivers receive overtime after 8 hours per day on top of weekly overtime after 40 hours. The Shop time is paid at a commercial rate set by the company and the distribution rate for this position is paid at the prevailing rate paid according to the NYS Prevailing wage schedule (varies by county). Although the role is seasonal, your benefits remain active yearround, ensuring continuous coverage even during the offseason. You may also be eligible for unemployment benefits during the winter months, providing additional financial support until the next season begins.

• Applies all safety guidelines linked to their activities including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Transport Heavy Equipment Safely operate a Lowboy Truck and Trailer to transport oversized heavy construction equipment, such as excavators, dozers, and front-end loaders, Catepillar pavers, track pavers and other hydraulic driven equipment to various adverse job site locations.
• Prepares for their work: works independently with the information concerning moving oversized and heavy equipment from jobsite to jobsite, transfer of vehicles to various construction sites, installs signage on truck per regulations, follows all applicapable DOT traffic rules for safe work.
• Load and unload Equipment Efficiently ability to operate, load and unload construction equipment onto and from the trailer, ensuring proper securing and safety measures are followed.
• Route Planning Plan and execute efficient transportation routes that comply with permit regulations for oversized loads, consdidering road conditions, height restrictions and traffic.
• General Labor Assist with manual labor tasks as needed, including securing loads and performing minor maintenance on equipment.
• Takes care of the proper adjustment of their equipment and vehiclesbefore operating them.
• Carries out workbased on precise directives from their hierarchy.
• Maintains vehicles: clearing and verification of vehicles after use, carries out standard upkeep (minor repairs) in observance of the company's environmental guidelines and the regulations,notifies their manager in the event of anomalies.

CDL License Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

Experience Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in truck driving, specifically with lowboy trailers and heavy equipment. Milk tanker experience a plus.

Physical Fitness Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading heavy equipment.

Communication Skills Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors.

Varied Shifts Must be available to work varied shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Weather Condiditons Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions and environments. Able to load in adverse locations.

Team Environment Work as part of a team, assisting co-workers and supervisors with various tasks.
