As a Robotics Engineer II, you will play a key role in the design, development, and deployment of advanced robotic systems. You will contribute to both hardware and software engineering efforts, lead small-scale projects, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver innovative automation solutions. This position is ideal for engineers with foundational experience in automation systems who are ready to take on more challenges and ownership.

This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to Sherwin-Williams 6849 Engle Rd. Middleburg Heights, OH 44130.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised.   • Design and implement automation systems, including mechanical components, control algorithms, and embedded software
  • Lead development efforts for subsystems or modules, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, and control systems into robotic platforms and validate system performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, software, and plant engineers
  • Conduct system-level testing, debugging, and optimization of automation systems
  • Document engineering designs, test procedures, and results for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support field deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automation systems
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns, providing technical guidance and support

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.)
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Engineering
  • Must have two (2) years of working experience in robotics or automation engineering
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and/or Outlook)
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio
  • Must have working experience of control systems and software development

Preferred Qualification:

  • Have three (3) years of working experience in robotics or automation engineering
  • Have working experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks and Auto CAD) and simulation environments
  • Have working experience with Kuka robot configuration and programming
  • Have working experience with PLC programming
  • Have working experience with Python or other scripting programming language
  • Have a Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.)
  • Have work experience with electrical panel design
