Data Analyst

Job Title: Project Data Analyst

Location: Compton, CA 90220 (Hybrid role 2 days onsite in a week)
Duration: 12+ Months (Contract)

Pay Range: $33/hr. - $35/hr.

Shift Details: 8 am to 5 pm PST

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Analyst to support moderately complex application development and data analysis initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, experience working with databases and spreadsheets, and the ability to translate detailed specifications into tested and documented application programs. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple programs, projects, and assignments simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, code, test, and document moderately complex application programs based on detailed specifications
• Assist in gathering requirements and preparing specifications for application development
• Collect, document, analyze, and draw conclusions from data and information
• Produce reports and support database-related activities
• Work with software and hardware tools that support primary system operations
• Support multiple programs, projects, and assignments while meeting deadlines
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates clearly in both written and oral formats

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role utilizing database programs and spreadsheet software
• Demonstrated experience in data analysis, documentation, and reporting
• Working knowledge of at least two programming languages (preferred)
• Knowledge of report production and database structures
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Associate's degree in a related field (required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of systems development methodologies, hardware/software environments, and project methodologies
• Experience with software and hardware tools supporting enterprise systems
