Data Solutions Architect - Snowflake & dbt

About the role

We are expanding our Data & AI Business Unit and are seeking a Data Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Snowflake and dbt to design and deliver modern, analytics first data platforms. This role focuses on building scalable, governed data solutions that enable trusted analytics, reporting, and downstream AI use cases.

You will serve as an architectural leader-owning solution design from discovery through delivery-while helping teams adopt best in class analytics engineering practices using Snowflake and dbt.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern end to end data platforms built on Snowflake
• Architect ELT pipelines using dbt for transformation, testing, and documentation
• Define data modeling standards using dimensional, mart based, and semantic patterns
• Design ingestion approaches from operational systems into Snowflake (batch and near real time)
• Establish best practices for Snowflake performance, cost optimization, and security
• Lead dbt project architecture, including model layering, environments, and CI/CD
• Partner with analytics, BI, and data science teams to ensure consistent and trusted data outputs
• Produce architecture diagrams, technical designs, and data modeling documentation
• Act as a technical authority during architecture reviews, delivery planning, and design forums
• Evaluate complementary tools in the modern data stack (orchestration, BI, quality, observability)

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data architecture roles
• Proven experience as a Data Solutions Architect, Analytics Architect, or Senior Analytics Engineer
• Deep, hands on experience with Snowflake data architecture and optimization
• Strong experience building transformation layers with dbt (Core or Cloud)
• Expertise in dimensional modeling, analytics marts, and semantic data design
• Strong SQL skills and experience designing reusable, tested transformation logic
• Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) supporting Snowflake workloads
• Ability to communicate architectural decisions clearly to technical and business stakeholders
• Experience working in cross functional or customer facing environments

Certifications

• Snowflake SnowPro (Core or Advanced) preferred
• dbt certifications or equivalent hands on experience strongly valued
• Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plus

Travel & Work Environment

• Hybrid or remote work environment (US based)
• Occasional travel to support stakeholder or client engagements

Compensation Range - Base Salary: $145,000 - $160,000, depending on experience
