Are you a detail-oriented environmental professional ready to make a meaningful impact? Fishbeck is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer or Hydrogeologist to support investigation and remediation projects across Michigan. In this role, you'll partner with clients and regulators to design and implement solutions for contaminated sites, helping navigate complex environmental regulations with creativity, technical expertise, and precision.


What You'll Work On


  • Understand client needs and analyze constraints in schedule, scope, and budget to deliver value-driven solutions.
  • Develop work plans, Data Quality Objectives, and sampling and analysis plans.
  • Plan and coordinate field activities for environmental investigations.
  • Design and interpret investigations of contaminated media including soil, groundwater, surface water, soil gas, indoor air, and sediment.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare cost estimates.
  • Design and implement ex-situ and in-situ remedial actions.
  • Develop vapor intrusion mitigation systems.
  • Oversee performance monitoring and operation & maintenance activities.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, proposals, and client communications.
  • Ensure safe execution of all work activities.



What We're Looking For


  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with environmental investigation and remediation projects.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with clients and regulators.
  • Excellent technical writing, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and perform field work.
