Description

Leidos' Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a Senior Subcontracts Specialist to support our DoD Defense Agencies IT Business Area. This role involves full life cycle ("cradle-to-grave") subcontract management, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, company policies, procedures, applicable laws, and acquisition regulations.

The Senior Subcontract Specialist will serve as the primary interface between subcontractors and the program, managing agreements of varying types and complexity, typically of moderate to high dollar value and risk. This position requires interaction with multiple functional areas, including program management, contracts, finance, and growth teams, to support the assigned portfolio. The candidate must demonstrate strong time management, prioritization, and attention to detail, while meeting deadlines with limited supervision.

  • Negotiating non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and teaming agreements.
  • Preparing moderate to complex solicitation packages based on customer requirements.
  • Evaluating subcontractor proposals, conducting price analysis, and negotiating price and terms and conditions.
  • Subcontract Award and Post-Award Management:
  • Managing subcontract modifications, identifying and mitigating risks, resolving issues, and ensuring internal reporting.
  • Handling subcontract closeout activities and ensuring compliance throughout the subcontract lifecycle.
  • As proficiency, judgment, and business acumen are demonstrated, the complexity of assignments will increase. The candidate will be expected to identify and resolve moderately complex issues and provide recommendations to management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of prior relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to clearly articulate statuses and issues to management, internal partners, and suppliers.
  • Experience negotiating price and terms and conditions.
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of the FAR and DFAR.
  • Proficiency in word processing, electronic spreadsheets, analysis techniques, and workstation tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automated purchasing systems, preferably Deltek Costpoint and iValua.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical programs within the DoD Defense Agencies IT Business Area while growing your expertise in subcontract management. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for driving efficiency and collaboration, we encourage you to apply.
