GENERAL SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager - Enterprise Data Governance, the Enterprise Data Governance Analyst supports basic metadata and data governance activities across the organization. This role focuses on assisting with documentation, organizing metadata, updating the data catalog, and supporting data governance processes under supervision. The ideal candidate is early in their data career, eager to learn, and able to work closely with senior analysts, data stewards, and technical teams. This is an entry-level growth role designed to build foundational skills in metadata management and data governance. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in information systems, Data Science, Library Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field required. Zero to five (0-5) years of experience in data management, analytics, metadata, information science, or related coursework/internships. Basic understanding of data concepts (e.g., data definitions, data quality, lineage, databases) preferred. Exposure to metadata or data catalog tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Alation, Collibra). Familiarity with SQL or BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus but not required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow structured processes and collaborate with senior team members. Strong written communication and documentation skills.
