What to Expect The Lithium & Recycling (LiR) group in Cell Engineering is responsible for the reliable and efficient flowof all battery materials from Tesla's factories and Service locations to approved battery reclamation & recycling facilities. The battery recycling programs team manages packaging assets that are used to move batteries and battery materials between suppliers and Tesla facilities. This positionis responsible forthe execution of returnable transport packaging (RTP) container flow design, analyzing andoptimizingcontainer conveyance to support material handling, production, warehouse, layouts, and processes related to recycling of all Tesla products, enabling unprecedented vertical integration, costcontroland agility. This is a comprehensive life-cycle management role, interacting with Suppliers, Finance, Material Planning, Logistics, Global Supply Management, Packaging Engineering, and Production Control, to ensure material handling and returnable packaging programsoperatingat peak efficiency. What You'll Do Collaborate with stakeholder teams to prioritize and maximize operational efficiency of battery recyclinglogistics& container management Design andoptimizematerial and returnable transport packaging (RTP) flow, facility layouts by analyzing buffer sizes using process modeling Lead and own PFEP standardization and adoption of processes through the entire value stream of material flow Develop simulation models for processes for receiving, staging for shipping Analyze and improve container flow processes from the network of production and service distribution facilities to battery recycling facilities Work with 3PLlogisticsprovider to ensure process improvements are being executed to the expected levels Work withlogisticsstakeholder to drive reduction in totallogisticscost and other KPI's Develop business cases for improvement projects with a focus on workforce planning and management Create documentation for training materials such as job cards, standard work, and standard operating procedures Lead continuous improvements initiatives to improve warehouse conditions and lower the total handling cost/container What You'll Bring Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience and evidence of extraordinary ability 3+ years of experience in managing supply chain operations,logistics, or manufacturing Knowledge of lean principles,logisticsbusiness systems, pre-determinedmotionand time standards Previousexperience withmanpowerrequirement calculations preferred Previousexperience in a high velocity warehouse or production setting preferred Advanced skills in Excel,SQLor other analytical tools for data mining and analysis Demonstrated talent for implementing process flow improvements Proficiencyin AutoCAD, or similar 2D CAD software PreviousWorld Class Manufacturing and Material Handling experience Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
