EK Machine is looking for our next Lead Welder on our night shift!
SUMMARY
Leads welders in welding department as well as welds metal components together using a variety of arc welding processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Oversees and leads welders ensuring products are welded to customer standards.
  • Plans, assigns, and directs Welders' workload
  • Informs the Weld Manager of work progress and any potential issues
  • Provides input for employee performance evaluations.
  • Evaluates processes for ways to improve in quality, tooling usage, and run times.
  • Responsible for helping sustain 5 areas
  • Performs periodic preventative maintenance and basic repairs to machines
  • Reads and understands blueprints
  • Positions and clamps together components of fabricated or machined metal products to prepare for welding operation.
  • Welds metal parts together using any combination of arc welding processes.
  • Performs difficult and specialized welding on a wide variety of metals and alloys, as required on blueprints and job routings.
  • Welds complicated weldments where alignments, dimensional, and weld quality must conform.
  • Uses weld fixtures, gauges, and jigs when applicable. Also helps in the creation and review of fixturing.
  • Inspects parts using precision measuring equipment and documents inspection data.
  • Helps with the verification of conformance of work pieces to customer specifications.
  • Understands fabrication of materials.
  • Cleans and organizes work area.
  • Other assigned duties from Welding Manager


-Hours are 03:00PM to 01:00AM Monday through Thursday plus any required overtime when needed.
-This position includes a 20% Shift Premium
