Overview

Works with the overall project team to document systems. Coordinates, monitors, and expedites the flow of documents within the operation or between Engineering and Purchasing. Works closely with Engineering management to support Engineering and work as a liaison between other departments.



Responsibilities

    Supervises a team of engineering support specialists to support electrical and mechanical ordering and parts procurement
  • Reviews team resources and evaluates workload against growth needs of the team to facilitate support of electrical and mechanical ordering
  • Sets and maintains department and company ordering procedures
  • Coordinates task management between team members and ensures timeliness and accuracy of processing
  • Maintains parts in ROI (ERP system) and provides job setup
  • Enters, maintains, and tracks all sales orders entered in ROI
  • Reviews and provides feedback on drawing sets
  • Receives bids, writes purchase orders, and tracks progress of vendor-built panels ordered by Engineering
  • Coordinates project-returned material with vendors
  • Provides mentoring and coaching to Engineering Support Specialists
  • Provides miscellaneous support to Engineering team

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Associate's degree in CAD or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience designing industrial control panels in a CAD environment
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with procurement, preferably in an engineering environment
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize different projects and work load
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience is preferred
