Structural Engineering Intern

At Coffman Engineers, we serve as both prime consultant and sub consultant on projects large and small, including commercial, retail, institutional, government, industrial, and project/construction management. We are seeking a dynamic andinnovative Structural Engineering Intern for full-time work during the summer months of 2026 in our Denver office. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your chosen field! The ideal candidate will be a student who wishes to increase their knowledge of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures, learn about computer analysis software systems, and work in a professional fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work semi-independently.
• Possess basic level computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and a working knowledge of computer-aided drafting.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Expected hourly rate: $20.00 - $24.00

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate degree in architectural engineering, structural engineering, or civil engineering with an emphasis on structures.
