Summary:

Sr Analyst of Demand Planning reports to the Director of Sales & Operations and owns the general market, sales, and supply chain analysis required to understand, predict, and enhance mobile phone sales and availability at our largest account. This person oversees data collection, performance analysis, problem identification, and associated recommendations that support mobile planning, operations, and customer demand. He/she ensures customer needs are met while minimizing overall supply chain costs.

Responsibilities:



  • Leads the weekly/quarterly S&OP process for the Verizon Account across smartphones, tablets, and mobile enhancements.
  • Responsible for the development of demand forecast to meet sales, financial, and inventory requirements for the client and the customer
  • Collaborates cross-functionally (e.g., with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain) to achieve a balance between smartphone inventory levels, purchase and sales targets, and production capability
  • Functions as the focal point to improve communications between headquarters and various internal/external stakeholders, including Product Management and Marketing teams.
  • Communicates daily between headquarters and local organization on production allocation, delivery requirements, and inventory management.
  • Provides Sales & Marketing teams with frequent updates of product launch schedules from headquarters and against customer product delivery commitments.
  • Coordinates and handles the escalation of critical product availability, launch issues, and sales demands with manufacturing leadership.
  • Identifies sales target status and product requirements to ensure fulfillment of product development and delivery to achieve sales plans.
  • Supports exceeding quarterly and annual revenue, profit, and market share goals for assigned customer(s).
  • Prepare Ad Hoc reports related to the account team's monthly/quarterly financials.
  • Lead and contribute towards driving sales goals and customer team success.
  • Involved in day-to-day operation, including availabilities, product shipment, and collectively reviewing customer OH and consumption.
  • Manage Aging inventories, regularly report to leadership, and determine a clearance plan in coordination with teams.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in general business, operations management, supply chain, or a related field
  • 6+ years' experience in sales operations, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Experience in a high-volume retail environment, consumer electronics, or packaged goods
  • Preferred experience in the mobile/telecom industries


Preferred Qualifications:



  • The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.
  • Experience using advanced supply chain management, enterprise planning, or financial planning systems is highly desired. (SAP, etc.)
  • Proven success in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Should have advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint knowledge and skills.
  • Strong communication, both written (PPT presentations) and oral skills.
  • The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established time frames.
