| Position Highlights |
The Project Coordinator for the Innovative Self-Employment Initiative provides daily operational leadership for a federally funded, statewide effort to build Arizona's capacity for self-employment as a competitive integrated employment pathway for individuals with the most significant disabilities. This position coordinates implementation across six major project objectives, supports curriculum and tool development, manages timelines and deliverables, and facilitates communication among project partners, including Arizona VR, Tribal VR programs, and Community Rehabilitation Providers. The Project Coordinator will supervise outreach personnel across multiple regions and ensure all activities align with grant expectations, equity goals, and culturally responsive practices. The role functions as the central administrator maintaining project momentum, fidelity, and accountability. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Manages statewide implementation of all OSERS project activities, ensuring alignment with timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Tracks progress across curriculum development, tool creation, policy analysis, community engagement, and pilot implementation phases. Maintains fidelity to project goals, equity commitments, and federal grant expectations.
- Supervises outreach and regional project personnel (estimated 2-3 FTE). Provides guidance, workflow assignment, quality assurance, and development support. Facilitates communication across multidisciplinary team members, consultants, instructional designers, Tribal partners, and VR/CRP collaborators.
- Builds, maintains, and coordinates relationships with Arizona VR, Tribal VR programs, rural and border community partners, CRPs, individuals with lived experience, and advisory structures. Supports listening sessions, meetings, Communities of Practice, and collaborative feedback processes to ensure cultural responsiveness and community guidance.
- Supports the Evaluation Manager in collecting and organizing data; tracks participation and performance metrics; prepares documentation for federal reporting; and maintains accurate, well-organized project records. Assists with narrative reports, implementation summaries, and dissemination materials.
- Takes a leadership role in developing tools, guides, templates, and training materials for the Digital Learning Hub. Leads testing, feedback collection, editing cycles, and iterative refinement for usability, accessibility, and cultural relevance. Ensures materials reflect person-centered, customized employment, and self-employment best practices.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- BA in Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, Disability Studies, Public Administration or related disciplines.
- Strong Understanding of Employment First principles and best practices, with the ability to implement these strategies effectively.
- Experience coordinating multi-partner or multi-region projects.
- Supervisory experience or leadership in coordinating staff or project teams.
