Position Highlights

The Division of Gastroenterology is seeking candidates for a Research Data Support Specialist II to assist with Dr. Sasha Taleban's Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Database and provide coordination and management of multi-institutional, bimonthly, accredited, and funded IBD live video conferences. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining a research and patient database and will provide data and reports to researchers, administrators, and others upon request. This will be a part-time position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Data entry into the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Database.
  • Implement enhancements to the database per guidance from the PI.
  • Search and extract data for clinical studies.
  • Provide data and reports to researchers, administrators and others as requested.
  • Coordinate and schedule multi-institutional conference meetings.
  • Disseminate communication at routine intervals for conferences, communicating effectively with a wide range of health care providers.
  • Answer inquiries regarding the conference.
  • Ensure continuing medical education compliance of the conference.
  • Assist in the development and submission of internal evaluation reports.
  • Maintain website for the conference.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Skills in Microsoft Applications.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with a wide array of individuals.
  • Skill in public speaking and presenting information to large groups.
  • Skill with data entry and validation.
