As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or reports, assist customers and team members with clear communication, and document observations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, entrances and exits, parking areas and/or the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, observing and reporting suspected shoplifting activity and coordinating with store leadership.
• Monitor cameras, alarms and other systems when assigned, and communicate observations promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents and observations in written reports and/or logs, and participate in briefings and post orders as required by Allied Universal and the site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
